Lakeshore Railroad
23rd December
Workshop Blog
.......
On the 23rd, the railway was closed due to the inclement weather. Despite this, Matt and Sam brought Rockclimber and the civil engineering train out to carry out some small jobs. The first job was to sweep the station platforms and pick up as much dropped coke as we could. The wet weather made it hard to distinguish the coke from the dirty ballast and so not all of it was picked up. Next, we tried to ease the dip in Tadpole Cutting that is being caused by a tree root under the track. This was fast accomplished and so we moved onto Grassy Patch, packing a part that was lifting and loose. After that, some fun was had running Rockclimber in the rain before calling it a day. All in all, very productive.
